W.R. "Pappy" Schippers, 62, has been fascinated with motor bikes since the young age of 12. What started as a hobby, now has captured his attention as a "builder". Having been employed by a leading industrial manufacture for over 20 years, Pappy obtained crucial background of machinery and daily operations of a machine shop. This led to positions with government manufacturing businesses. Over the years he has cultivated his expertise operating wide variety of machinery. For over 25 years, Pappy has owned and operated Custom Machine & Design in Florida. Not only does he have the skill and knowledge on parts manufacturing, but applies his creativity into the building of motorcycles.

As Pappy got more involved with custom models, he transformed a personal bike to a trike. This opened up a world of opportunity on another level of production. He is currently the Daytona Beach area DFT Trike dealer. He offers his own line of custom trikes which are presently available. They feature the DFT true independent Rear suspension coupled to a custom chassis built Rolling Thunder Manufacturing, a premier chassis builder.
